Afternoon Walk

Yesterday afternoon my friend Breht and I decided to take the kiddos for a little walk at Rock Creek Park. It was such a nice day. Well besides almost getting hit with two Frisbee's from Frisbee golfers. The kids were excited to see the playgroud at the end of our walk. We both tried getting good picture of Jett but he is too quick for us. Ryler was such a good boy. He just took a little nap while we walked. Now supposedely Breht and I are going to walk a lot more. We will see how well we do at this...

Pascal

As we all know by now, Ave is obsessed with Tangled. She LOVES pascal. She gets all excited and smiles and squeals when he comes on the screen. We got onto Disney.com to see if they had a pascal. Well when he arrived she was so excited to hold him. I couldn't get a good picture because all she wanted to do was give him kisses. He is her new best friend.

Zoned In

She was sitting in her pack-n-play and we had Tangled on. She was so zoned into her movie. She had her face pressed up against the netting watching it. It was hilarious. I tried to get a picture from the front but she caught on.

Rock Creek Race Track

Last Tuesday while Justin was home for his week off we had to go to practice at Rock Creek. It just killed me to sit and watch everyone else ride. Avery did so good. We took her to the track when she was about a month old and then she just slept the whole time. Well not much had changed. She fell asleep on the way out there and slept for a couple hours. Once she woke up and got to go outside to watch she was great. She loved it. She would get all excited when a bike would come close. We were a little worried we were going to have a girly girl. At least she likes bikes. Now we know she came to the right family...lol! Such a good girl, noise does not bother her one bit. Justin is so excited to someday get her her first bike. He claims that is what she will get on her third birthday. We will just see about that.

Big Girl

Last week while Justin was home we decided to finally go look at bigger car seats. We were in dyer need of a bigger one. I told Justin he had to go because I didn't want to hear about which one I chose. I was choosing a safe but cheaper one. Not Justin he chose one of the most expensive one's. LOL. Typical! Avery loves her new seat. She likes sitting up like a big girl and being able to sit forward. Finally she can see out the window. This chair has made our traveling a lot smoother. She just chills and watches her movie. It has also made it easier on us as well. We can actually hand her things and see what is going on back there.

8 Months old

We cannot believe our little monster is 8 months old. She turned 8 months on the 26 of April. When you are a kid you always hear adults talk about how time flies and to enjoy being a kid. I now know exactly what they were saying. I used to say time flew by after Justin and I got married. It does not even compare to how fast time is flying now that we have a little one. It seems like just yesterday Tiff was calling Justin saying, "We're going to have a baby today!!!" I will never forget the nervousness and panic on his face when he arrived at the hospital. Nor will I forget the look on his face as our little one had arrived. A mixture between pure happiness and sheer panic. Now me on the other hand, I was too tired to have any emotions. It seems like my little Ave went from being a 5 pound newborn to a chubby terror over night. We sure do love our baby girl.

At 8 months she is weighing in at 19.5 pounds. She is standing at a staggering 26 inches. She is getting close to crawling but we still think she is a month or two away. We are working hard at getting her to say dada or mama, but all she will say is wawa or baba. Lately she doesn't like tummy time. She likes to sit up like a big girl. She still LOVES the jumper. Her absolute favorite movie right now is Tangled. She will be throwing a fit and all we have to do is turn it on and she is glued to the TV. I could quote that movie from beginning to end. Let's just say we are begging her to find a new favorite. She loves going outside. Her next love is her puppies. She giggles so hard when they are playing and barking.

This month Justin has been in North Dakota. He came home this past Saturday at 7 in the morning. He wanted to go in her room and wake her up. I forbid him to do that. She is a grumpy bear all day if she gets woken up early. Justin said, "what if she doesn't remember me?" I told him there is no way she would forget her daddy. One little peep and Justin was up and running to get her. The minute she saw him she let out this high pitched scream. She was so excited to see her dad. She has been pretty attached to her dad this week. Too bad he has to leave again.

We love our little Ave so much. She is such a blessing in our lives. We could have the worst day and all we have to do is see her smile and it is like a ray or sunshine. She is so much fun. She is our world. We love you baby girl!!!

Daddy's Dirty Trick

Justin taught Avery how to spit. Now when she is done eating she spits her food all over me. Some times she spits when she is throwing a fit. I thought it was cute when she first started doing it but now that she is constently spitting her food all over me it has definetly gotten old. This picture she decided to spit right as I put the spoon to her mouth. It was so funny it was hard to be mad, even though it was all over me too. Once I got so mad that she kept spitting at me I spit back at her and all she did was laugh at me. I cannot wait for her dad to get home so she can spit all over him!!! I sure do love my little MONSTER!!!
